react-scan thinks our player is just a chill guy. Thanks to the power of signals and CSS there's no need for wasteful renders. You can also see in devtools that it's mostly just CSS vars updating and the DOM is stable.


Just a quick update that we're working on some underlying tooling to help us maintain our current player and to ship more frameworks, features, and themes in the future. There's a ton planned for 1.0 to dramatically improve DX, we just ask for some patience. Thanks!

We've pushed out performance improvements and bug fixes recently. The latest `1.12.1@next` includes SSR fixes for Next.js, and you now can pass the `<Image>` component to our `<Poster>` as shown in the docs. Planning out what will be included in 1.0 has started!
