A good example of French / US capability, refuelling US ships in the Pacific on their carrier deployment. Due to the collapse of the RFA, the Royal Navy will probably not be able to do likewise on CSG25, as no RFA tankers are deploying - a Norwegian vessel is covering the gap.

The RFA is vital to our national security. I’m really pleased we have resolved the pay dispute we inherited and can now focus on improving support for RFA seafarers. There’s a bright future for the RFA. I thank all those who serve supporting our naval operations worldwide.
