Doing #100DaysOfCode again, as I found it so helpful in practice and accountability. Now after finishing a B.C. and looking for new opportunities, I'm using the time to revise and improve whilst I apply. Today's fun little topic BEM. #FrontEndDeveloper #LearningInPublic
You convinced me to try local LLMs. Love it! It gives you peace of mind knowing that your sensitive data stays on your machine. I'm using: - Qwen2.5 Coder 32B for coding - DeepSeek R1 Distill Qwen 7B for planning - Gemma 3 27B for general stuff Anything else I should check?
Have I ever mentioned I hate the builder pattern.
just crazy that the other languagebros make fun of us javabros

Has anyone stuck with the pomodoro technique for more than 2 days? Seems unlikely.
So many get rich quick schemers polluting the youtube results for AI coding stuff 🙄
I'm beginning to suspect that staring at screen 18 hours a day is unhealthy 😟
Complete hardware + software setup for running Deepseek-R1 locally. The actual model, no distillations, and Q8 quantization for full quality. Total cost, $6,000. All download and part links below:
Python is a great first programming language. Its main problem, it’s a toy language. Too bad many people didn’t realise that, and started using it in production seriously. And now we all suffer.
All 27 git commands I use: git clone git log git status git add . git add <path> git commit -m "Short description" git commit -am "Short description" git commit -a --amend git push git push -u origin chshersh/branch-name git switch branch-name git switch -c chshersh/branch-name…
It might not seem like much, but this component would not have been possible even a few years ago. - Server rendered - Inputs passed based on server-side data (folder id) - Page revalidated with updated data

AT Protocol Explained
Just stumbled upon an interesting #LeetCode problem: finding the GCD of strings! 🧵 I saw a recursive solution that mirrors the Euclidean algorithm :
pixelated view transitions using CSS mask and generated @keyframes 🤖 mask out the old, mask in the new, and give the ::view-transition a background-color (had to see if it was possible 🫣)
Page transitions are a key factor for creating seamless experiences, and they’re one of our most popular requests. While we use BarbaJS for client work, this week we’re sharing a simpler setup using JavaScript and @greensock for anyone looking to start relatively simple.
Are people still using books to learn a new programming language?

I was really enjoying langchain up until finding RunnableWithMessageHistory. Seems like an abstraction that only exists to make short hello world examples. Just give me building blocks please. 🙏
