How many ads to should be allowed to be placed on free WP plugin settings page(s)? (Free plugins from wp.org repo.)
There are times I want WP Rocket Lite, which is my ideal plugin without optimization features but cache. I like WP Rocket's cache feature.
WP Rocket has a custom code to disable cache only, so the plugin can be used only for optimization. I'm looking for the same in FlyingPress, but so far it's not listed in their document. docs.flyingpress.com/en/?q=cache
FlyingPress cache generations might not be the slowest, but it's definitely slower than WP Rocket. I just hope it will bring back local cache generation as alternative and selectable option. I really don't think cloud based cache generations could bring faster generation time.

Shortpixel has been my favorite plugin for image optimizations. But the plugin GUI has too many ads, and I don't think it's a good idea to keep it installed for client sites. These ads really might confuse clients...
Don't believe too much on what SEJ says. WordPress can be the fastest CMS if configured properly. It's just users are not understanding it right. Just find the right person to hire. Never ask for score optimizations. Ask for better real visitor UX. searchenginejournal.com/wordpress-vers…
I'm not satisfied with @blogvault using lighthouse to report performance as it doesn't reflect the actual performance of the site as CrUX or RUM. This is the only part that I disagree with their development. Otherwise, they do great job.

We love working with WordPress Multisite at @webdevstudios. One challenge is creating a network-wide search for all subsites in Multisite. Now with the power of Algolia AI you can easily create a network search for Multisite! webdevstudios.com/2025/08/07/wor…
Here's WP Umbrella telling me I tried them with only one site. What a SHOCKING message to send to former clients with more than one site. I'm not recommending them, not because of their features, but because of their disrespectful response.
Hey @webperfjp ! You tried WP Umbrella on one website and never reached out to the support team for any issue. Our backup technology is quiet reliable, and if the backup was not processed it's more likely to indicate an issue on your site. We'd be very happy to look into this!
So far I found WP Umbrella to be not stable enough to use on live site as backups fail all the time for my clients. BlogVault so far has been working perfectly. If WP Umbrella's backup gets much more stable, I'd consider using it again.
What is your favorite WordPress cache plugin? To me, Cache Enabler and Super Cache are the real caching only plugins while others include more optimization features.
Would anyone confuse? Clearly the spelling is different.
@thekevingeary is it possible to get some text on automaticcss.com clarifying it has nothing to do with @automattic?
Why would people mind PSI scores, which are not the actual performance measurement facter? Why can't they just stop confusing people? wordpress.org/plugins/speed-…

Speed Analyzer
Test your website's speed. In-dashboard performance auditing of TTFB, Request Count, Google PSI LCP/FCP, Autoload Options, PHP version, and more.
I've tried many WP management solutions, but none of them actually offer the correct performance monitorings. Instead they tell scores, which is not relevent to performance optimization. I wonder which company would go first to fix this.
If you use #wordpress and face some troubles, remember to write down details such as error logs/messages. I just see many people posting "I can't fix it." without any details. No one could answer and even for AI it should be hard to understand.
Any speed optimizations service who claim "higher scores = faster" are liers and not worth trusting. They just don't know what Lighthouse scores mean, and difference of scores and speed. I just hope everyone reads what Google says...
If @blogVault start releasing "create staging without media (media links are directed to live site), they can minimize resources taken (CPU/RAM/Bandwidth) each time to clone from backups. And for users, much quicker staging experience. It just takes too much time for large site.
I used to use WP Rocket along with Perfmatters. However Perfmatters has added a lot more features, so I often only use WP Rocket as cache only. This makes me think I can replace the caching plugin with much simpler ones like Cache Enabler o Super Cache...
Gemini's coding partner feature isn't matured I guess... It keeps returning non usable code over and over again. Grok might do better.
