I miss the Grand Old Party (GOP) and long for the day when we can return to healthy and principled partisan debates. (We idealistic hippies sometimes need to be reined in by practical conservatism.) But this election is different… and much deeper than D versus R and left versus…

Remains a stunning failure on the part of nation's leading news orgs that none appear to be pressing for any official report or even statement on how Trump sustained his injury because they fear blowback from an aggressive Trump campaign. talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/one-oth… via @TPM

The current state of Twitter leaves me thinking that it’s time to be done here. I’m on most of the other places at the same handle if you care to follow. Good job killing it, Elmo.

The sane GOP reps who support #Ukraine need to state now, unequivocally, that they will not support anyone unless they promise funding for Ukraine

One of my most unpopular opinions is that gambling is terrible & we should maintain a strong social stigma against it & it should be illegal in most cases & we *sure as fuck* shouldn't be *advertising it during sports broadcasts*. The current trend is horrific.

It’s sad to watch Kevin McCarthy become a victim of white on white violence inside the Congressional White Caucus But it will continue to happen until those people decide to stop fighting each other and demand more from the leaders of the white community

GOP learns the hard way: Turning the base up too high blows out your Speaker

The hypocrisy is the point.

Hannity: How would you feel if they started combing through every aspect of your life in search of a crime and then dragged your children into it simply because they don’t like you or your politics

How about we raise the necessary funds for our very needed Border Security via *massive* fines on any company that hires undocumented workers?

Why do so many American politicians from both parties care 100 times more about the Ukraine border than the USA border?

Members of the House and Senate who are voting to deny Ukraine assistance on the 85th anniversary of Neville Chamberlain’s 1938 “peace in our time” speech should read some history: Appeasement didn’t work then. It won’t work now.

30th September 1938. British PM, Neville Chamberlain, returns home from Munich and tells the British people that his decision to let Hitler annex the Sudetenland from Czechoslovakia will create “peace in our time” Germany and Russia start World War 2 less than a year later.

Important to remember that U.S. alliances and partnerships underpin the rules-based international order. Weaken the U.S. and you destabilize that order, opening the door for dictators with imperial ambitions. Everywhere.

Appears big thing Rs fought for to the end was cutting funding for Ukraine. That's it. A very dramatic gesture to help Putin. It's long past time to acknowledge there is a pro-Russian, anti-Western, anti-US fifth column in American politics. Time now.
