I agree with this. There's so much AI marketing hype right now that I prefer to wait until the dust settles and see the real use cases. I guess those use cases will be way more limited, but still interesting.

I agree with Linus when he says AI is 90% marketing hype 🤓👌🏻

Salaries form the 2024 State of CSS survey. Great data, but it would be nice if there was a way to account for differences in cost of living in each country.

It's a very inspiring story. It's never too late to learn. It might be difficult, but in the end it pays off!

Hey, this website is really cool! It's an introduction to HTML for literally anybody, even if you've never coded before. htmlforpeople.com The author definitely has experience teaching others how to code.

I agree 100%! LLMs (and automation in general) might help you get the job done, but it hurts your learning process.

If you are a newbie in programming, don't touch LLMs and auto complete extensions and editors trust me you won't reach your true potential by using those struggling and finding out the answer by surfing endless sites and threads is a must for true programmer character arc

I've once been on a project where issues were also tracked on Google Sheets, even though the company paid for an actual tracking tool.

I just learned about a startup that is using Google Sheets as an issue tracker

I've tried this and Codeium too. Not a fan. Some suggestions were useful, but there were too many interruptions that made me lose my train of thought.

Anyone still actually using GitHub Copilot?

There are good and bad developers in both groups. That said, the best developers I've personally met are self-taught, many of them without a degree.

Do you think developers with degrees are better?
