Totally agree. Im so disappointed in McDavid and Gretzky promoting gambling. Pro sports has lost the fact that kids admire athletes. Never thought id have to change the channel for during a game to avoid the ads!

I REALLY despise how normalized sports gambling has become. I think it should be illegal to advertise the way cigarettes now can’t be advertised in sports. I used to pastor in Vegas and had a front row seat to gambling addiction and the predatory approach of gambling companies

This is a very important distinction. One produces consumers, the other disciples.

We have to try and pursue the biblical model of church planting, not the Western one. This will require different training, emphasis, and expectations. This will be hard.

It’s a sad day - I am literally watching some pastors do the exact same thing I’ve seen I’ve Imams do overseas - stoking fear/division & spewing hate in the name of God to use worldly institutions to get their way

Churches need to prepare now for how to reach 3 different types of people… 1) GO PEOPLE - “I can’t wait to get out of this house.” 2) YIELD PEOPLE - “I’m hesitant to go anywhere till I know it’s safe.” 3) STOP PEOPLE - “I’m staying home unless it’s absolutely necessary.”

Love this. Go Vancouver. Let’s do this in every community in Canada!

Solidarity is a beautiful thing. Every night at 7pm Vancouverites cheer hospital workers during their daily shift change by cheering and making noise to show love and appreciation. ❤️🇨🇦

Great encouragement from Mark. Very timely message for season.
