Really glad I muted this tweet based on some of the idiotic replies. You can’t have any mildly dissenting opinion on anything popular these days. It isn’t enough that I acknowledge it as a good film. I apparently have to worship the ground it walks on or I’m suddenly a hater.
Look, Sinners was a good movie. I enjoyed it. But it was definitely overhyped and hardly worthy of being called a masterpiece. It’s only being praised this much because almost everything else that’s out is junk by comparison. Again, it’s a good film. Just not *that* great.
