As I've said many times, abuse towards officials is not an issue that is a problem in one sport, it's an issue across sports and also in different countries. This will keep happening until this behaviour is challenged and dealt with effectively. Stronger deterrents are required.

Not a great start to the season to say the least! This is from Northamptonshire FA. It does seem that behaviour in #football is out of control. These numbers are crazy, particularly given that we've only had a couple of months of the season.
