BREAKING: Iowa's House has passed a bill to spend hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars each year to pay families' private school costs, a top priority of Republican Gov. Kim Reynolds.
Public schools in Iowa are expected to take a $79 million cut as a result of the bill. Iowa's state auditor @RobSandIA decried the legislation as a giveaway to private schools. "No transparency obligations, no required public audits, no public records, and no public meetings."
