Thanks for the shout out. We’re very excited about this collaborative study with @wouterkool, S. Chakravarthy (IIT, Madras), CJ Hammond (JHU), and @VincGFiore where we report lack of reward value based modulation in model-based and model-free control in frequent alcohol users.

New year, new DPN paper from @MAparvaz @wouterkool & colleagues: "Impaired arbitration between reward-related decision-making strategies in Alcohol Users compared to Alcohol Non-Users: a computational modeling study" nature.com/articles/s4427… 1/2

So proud of this award for Merve @mileritayar, very well deserved!

So excited to present our research on demand avoidance of switching between cognitive control states—a project with my incredible mentors Julie Bugg and @wouterkool! See you in NYC! 🎉

So, how did astrologers do overall? If they'd gotten even 23% of questions right (slightly above the 20% of random guessing), the study would have come out in favor of astrology. But astrologers as a group performed indistinguishable from random guessing, getting < 21% right.

Did any other people who went to #CCN2024 get COVID? I had a great time seeing so many of you, but now I'm sick.

Honored to receive a NARSAD Young Investigator Award by @BBRFoundation. The grant award will allow me to investigate the neuronal mechanisms of intertemporal discounting in NHPs, mentored by Camillo Padoa-Schipppa, paving the way to understand impulsive and addictive behaviors.

I'm very excited for @DavideGhez to share his new multidimensional cognitive control research at #CCN24 in just a few minutes.

Come and see our work at #CCN2024 from @DavideGhez, @TheaZalabak, and @wouterkool not once, but twice! Check out Davide’s talk on Thursday at 4pm, and come say hi to learn more at his poster on Friday at 11:15am! @CogCompNeuro

Check out Lauren's awesome work in @PNASNews on how humans change their behavior when they are training AI. Our university wrote a nice article covering this work, with some awkward quotes from yours truly. artsci.wustl.edu/ampersand/huma…

Beyond excited that our paper “The consequences of AI training on human decision making” has been published in @PNASNews (pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pn…) with #CJHo and @wouterkool. We report 5 experiments that show people change their behavior when training AI.

Just shouting out that, due to a speaker being unable to make it to this excellent session, @AtaBK from my lab will be stepping in this morning to give a talk about how cognitive maps enable goal-directed decisions! Behavior, computational modeling, fMRI. Come check it out!
