I'm moving, so naturally I'm on twitter avoiding packing. Hitting the road & writing about it. East Coast to West Coast Canada w/ my husband, two kids & our dog. Can't come soon enough. I'm excited to sell & get out of Ontario. It's been a long year of grief, time for happiness.
Day 6 no power, no hot water, no cell service or data unless we drive to Starbucks and use free wifi. The people directly across the street have had power for two days. I stare at them wistfully from my porch. 🤣 #ONStorm I’ve never seen so many hydro trucks - very appreciative.
It’s been seven months since my Dad died. I feel hollow, restless, bored.💔 Currently burning down my life. Hoping it will jumpstart something. Paddles on my chest -the imminent fear knowing what’s coming before a muffled ‘Clear!’ reverberates on concrete walls.
In a few days I’ll be 48. When I turned 40 I finished a draft of my first novel. It didn’t find a home. But I wrote another, and before my 49th birthday it will be out in the world. I thought I was too old or too late or moving too slowly, but I wasn’t. Neither are you ❤️

In the past 3 weeks I became a Foster Parent (it's awesome), my oldest (21) is moving home, 4 kids under one roof and somehow my husband and I still are working from home ok. Lockdown in Ontario where we are. I just want the vaccine & travel to Portland :) Cannot wait <3
