This 18th C stone farmhouse deserves what kind of kitchen? A YesterTec kitchen composed of freestanding pieces of furniture was the solution.
Exposed and matching refrigerator and freezer flank a sink workstation and a piece of artwork that becomes a focal point for the room. The symmetry is an artistic expression in itself. The storage piece above the 29" deep sink workstation hides a coffee maker and everyday dishes.
Even an exposed range can be brought into the world of a furnished kitchen with carefully designed workstations. Here, an art collection takes the place of overhead cabinets while a working pantry armoire (behind the shot) replaces the lost storage.
This log home features an eclectic collection of 4 YesterTec workstations combined with an island and table created by other artists. Unlike standard cabinetry, furniture allows the logs to be seen between each piece, unifying the kitchen area with the adjoining furnished room.
This craftsman style kitchen conceals many appliances in just a few workstations, allowing more light and open floor space. The custom table matches the quartersawn oak and detailing of the workstations.
This beachside kitchen is exposed to the formal living areas and the informal family room. It is an appropriate choice since the appliances and messy countertops can be safely concealed from view when they are not being used.
