I’ve been calling parents during my prep period. These have all been positive calls and the voice in the parents when they hear that their kids are doing well in class creates this extremely wonderful feeling in both the parents and myself. What a wonderful profession.
1st year as a teacher is done tomorrow. Today, I saw the seniors graduate. I only have about 15 of them, but I saw them all graduate. I can’t believe how they all grew after only 1 year. I chose the best profession to work in no doubt. Go HP Spartans! Congrats Class of 2022!
Most of my students are going for Madrid. As a contrarian to them, I hope Liverpool wins.
5 more weeks and this first year of teaching is over. It’s been a trip watching these kids grow. I’m also really proud of my few seniors. Some of which are UCLA bound, CSUDH bound, CC bound, and trade tech bound.All the stress and hassles get flushed away by these happy moments.
A student in 8th period said he was going to the Dodgers game today and said Freeman was going to hit a HR today. My student guessed right.
Thursday night of Spring break. One of the things I’m going to miss the most is my mid day sleep sessions (naps).
2nd official day of spring break and I already feel ready to be back in the classroom. Maybe we should just have four day work weeks. BUT, week long breaks do allow for some great things too.
Wore a blue shirt and black pants to work and my student said, “Respectfully Mr. You look like you just got off work from Best Buy.” They cracked me up.
