Looking pretty good so far for COVID outcomes from last week's #2022ASM in Sydney, but would be even better with some more responses from attendees!
Ok time for some completely unscientific public health microbiology! If you attended #2022asm in Sydney last week:

Spent a week at @ICCSyd for #2022ASM (#Microbiology). Disappointing #COVID19 precautions. Few were wearing masks w/ minimal physical distancing. Convenors should’ve set standards. I wore a mask (admittedly not N95), washed hands, avoidance habits & vigilance. For me, it worked🧼

Reflections on #2022ASM: one highlight was seeing Dr Kerry Chant speak in-person (still a bit star-struck!). One definite lowlight was beginning my talk by introducing the pathogen I’ve studied for years as Gram-negative when it most definitely is Gram-positive…🤦🏾♂️😅
Thank you to the @AUSSOCMIC committee for organizing a fantastic ASM 2022! I got the opportunity to present my work in person for the first time in 3 years and super stoked that I won the ASM raffle and @MicrobaOfficial prizes! #2022ASM
