Gemma adds: 'Books help me destress, unwind and re-address the balance in my life. It also allows me to a ‘reader’ rather than a mother, wife, daughter, colleague, sister and all the other roles I am juggling' @book_cosy #30DaysofBookBlogs

Next I ask Gemma what reading represents for her? Gemma @book_cosy says: 'For me, books are an escape from my reality. They are a way of allowing me to relax, switch off from my day-to-day chores and thoughts, transporting me to a different setting and time' #30DaysofBookBlogs

Finally Gemma says: 'I love the way her writing is descriptive and has a Dickensian feel with paranormal/horror elements being present. I cannot stop raving about Laura Purcell’s books and that is why she is my new favourite author' #30DaysofBookBlogs @book_cosy

Gemma @book_cosy adds: 'Although Purcell’s books are not classified as Thrillers there is something thrilling about them. I do love Gothic fiction and elements of ghost stories and Purcell’s books tick all of those things' #30DaysofBookBlogs

Gemma @book_cosy adds: 'Although the transplant wasn't straightforward and complications occurred, three years later she is doing well and enjoying life. I am so incredibly proud of her, she is my world' ❤️❤️❤️ #30DaysofBookBlogs

Gemma says: 'This picture was taken at the Transplant Games, which my daughter competes in. She was born with a rare Liver disease and by the age of 3 needed a liver transplant' #30DaysofBookBlogs @book_cosy #TransplantGames
