Met a single #50swoman in Aberdeen, had a mortgage but, was laid off as a contract worker, (not eligible for redundancy payment), then discovered she had breast cancer, needed a masectomy, meanwhile her bank pressing for mortgage payments. Ill health can topple you in a flash

Jan’s not a #50sWoman. She wouldn’t have received a letter stating her SPA was increasing cos it wasn’t. Letters weren’t sent until 2009. Those born after 5/4/53 weren’t notified about the 1995 Act. For some, letters were paused. Many probably lost in the DWP mire. #50sWomen
