Had some fun today in Lua + Love2D, creating a visualization of today's puzzle with a little vibe coding. (AI not used in solution) #AdventOfCode

Continuing on with the #AdventOfCode warm-up event. Doing year 2016 puzzles during November. Here's a short video clip of Day 2 output. I'm trying to create visualizations anytime I can.
This early in December, it's hard to get into the Christmas spirit with so many outstanding tasks. However, the #AdventOfCode calendar is helping. Day 2 complete. I used brute force text comparisons, which isn't very clever, but it got the job done.
Last year I wrote a script to calculate the number of minutes used by each person in the #AdventOfCode leaderboard group for each star. A thanks to @ericwastl for providing the API to share the data that makes the fun stuff like this possible.

Not super pretty but it works. I just completed "Seven Segment Search" - Day 8 - Advent of Code 2021 adventofcode.com/2021/day/8 #AdventOfCode
Day 2 of #AdventOfCode down. Got some really nice Ruby-ism code golfing on this one! Onto the next 🫡
Every December, I do #AdventOfCode, a coding problem advent calendar, to prevent my coding skills from getting rusty. Will live tweet them to try to keep myself accountable. Just finished day 1. Slow start but it ramps up with each day. Only 12 problems this year (with 2 parts…
I wonder how long I'll be able to keep all the days green like this #adventofcode 🟢 Today I learned that you can use None when slicing a list in Python: >>> [1,2,3][:None] [1, 2, 3] Useful to avoid the edge case where [:0] would give an empty list: >>> [1,2,3][:0] []
in the morning-- Completed Day 3, of #AdventOfCode 2025 Went from #3 to #2 in r/Btechtards :(

okay not too bad today, brute force still ftw || I just completed "Lobby" - Day 3 - Advent of Code 2025 adventofcode.com/2025/day/3 #AdventOfCode
I just completed "Gift Shop" - Day 2 - Advent of Code 2025 adventofcode.com/2025/day/2 #AdventOfCode Python slicing made the main logic very easy. However dumb me didn’t realize 2-12 has only 11 as invalid ids.
I just completed "Lobby" - Day 3 - Advent of Code 2025 #AdventOfCode Wow, today's problem was so compute intensive! The problem involved enumerating all possible combinations. Had to come up with a smart elimination strategy. adventofcode.com/2025/day/3

Kicked off this week with #AdventofCode for the first time! Thanks Linda for introducing me to it and Michael Duren for the leaderboard setup. While scoring isn’t my main goal, it motivates me to tackle the daily challenges. They're tough, but I'm really enjoying the experience!
Advent of Code Day 2: Gift Shop Part 1 minha resolução👇 (sim atrasado) repositório: github.com/Devgustavogome… #adventofcode
A really nice little problem for #AdventOfCode day 3! (Yes, std::max_element() would be slightly less code in this case, but I'm not *not* going to use Flux...)
I just completed "Gift Shop" - Day 2 - Advent of Code 2025 adventofcode.com/2025/day/2 #AdventOfCode Unfortunately, I didn't solve the part 2 by myself
another awful solution but brute force ftw! || I just completed "Gift Shop" - Day 2 - Advent of Code 2025 adventofcode.com/2025/day/2 #AdventOfCode

Last night I hit the ground running with Day 1 of the 2025 #AdventOfCode event. I solved part 1 and 2, but was slowed down by a few issues, ending up in 8th place out of 16 in the leaderboard group. I'm coding in PHP again this year.
#AdventOfCode Year 2025 Day 02 Part 02.. In Rust and C#.. Rust is home language so started there and translated. Rust notes: - Was slow until I figured out how to do fewer allocations with bytes (old version here: github.com/scadoshi/rusty… to see what I mean) - And leveraged early…

I might have overdone the sequence chaining while brute-forcing #AdventOfCode day 2, but I have no regrets #cplusplus
#AdventofCode day 2! My original working solution was much longer took my time to clean it up here. I believe this is very small way to write part 2 espically.
