A feature solves a problem. A system shapes behavior. At Elias Tech, we don’t just ship features we design scalable futures where analytics meet action. 💬 We don’t code for now we code for next. #FutureDrivenTech #AnalyticsForAction #EliasTechFutures #ScalableSolutions
One of the key elements of #AnalyticsforAction is the provision of training in the use of data tools that allows staff to understand the data from their modules and implement actions based on the evidence. We have now trained over 500 staff and would like to share our experience
Today we are running an Analytics for Action standard training session. This is the 15th session in this academic year (2023-24). We have delivered over 160 sessions and yet always feels a bit like the first time :) #AnalyticsForAction #LearningAnalytics
It has been great to share with you our work in #AnalyticsforAction. We are keen to hear about your experiences on using #LearningAnalytics to improve #LearningDesign. Please feel free to contact us at [email protected] Have a nice weekend!
In this example, we wanted to increase student engagement with a key activity. The activity was redesigned and linked to Assessmt#2 Data shows a substantial increase in the level of student engagement with the corresponding resource in the 18J presentation. #AnalyticsForAction
Hi everyone! This is Rafa again 😊. Last time I was here we discussed our #AnalyticsforAction (A4A) initiative. This week we’ll be sharing examples of our work in #A4A and in other #Evaluation tools such as the #RealTimeStudentFeedback and the #CurriculumDesignStudentPanel
The @OU_LD_Team is very busy running #AnalyticsforAction. We have 17 data support meetings (DSM) booked for February. At the DSMs academic staff and learning designers discuss the data available for their module and agree on actions to improve module design and student outcomes
For Module A, VLE engagement dropped sharply between the first assessment point and the Christmas break. It bounced back, but never reached the levels seen before the first assessment. What would you suggest to minimise this loss? #A4A #AnalyticsForAction #LearningAnalytics
Evaluation is a key part of our #LearningDesign process. We provide evaluation options during course development , production and during presentation. The latter is delivered through our #AnalyticsForAction initiative. #LearningAnalytics #EdTech #eLearning #LearningOnline
At the @OpenUniversity we have been systematically using data to improve module design. #AnalyticsForAction (A4A) is a process to enable Module Teams to implement evidence-based changes during presentation or shortly after #LearningAnalytics #LearningDesign #elearning
At #LearningDesign we are busy completing the fifth cycle of our #AnalyticsForAction initiative. During the last academic year we supported 40 modules, trained 139 staff and ran 118 data support meetings. At the Open University data is business as usual! #LearningDesign #A4A
A vast majority (91.4%) of #A4A trainees have been satisfied with the training sessions. “Hands-on”, “practical”, “explore” and “experiment” were the terms more frequently used to describe the training #AnalyticsForAction #LearningAnalytics #EdTech #eLearning #LearningOnline
The data examined at the data support meetings depends on each module but often include pass, completion and satisfaction rates, concurrency, assessment submission rates and scores, retention and VLE engagement #AnalyticsForAction #LearningAnalytics #eLearning #LearningOnline
At the #A4A Data Support Meetings Academic staff and the Learning Designers review the data and agree on actions to address the issues uncovered. A comprehensive report captures discussions and agreed actions. #AnalyticsForAction #LearningAnalytics #eLearning #LearningOnline
Does the use of #learninganalitycs to improve #learningdesign work? We believe it does and have been finding evidence of its impact. See one of our most recent publications here: revistas.uned.es/index.php/ried… #AnalyticsforAction
Our colleague @DrBartRienties, one of the world's leader academics in the field, will be sharing his experience on the adoption of LearningAnalytics at the @OpenUniversity . See you there Bart! #LearningAnalytics #AnalyticsForAction #LearningDesign eventbrite.com.au/e/learning-ana…
Analytics is the navigator map application for businesses, they may know their route from ages but in today's world they need analytics to reach the Goals efficiently and effectively. Analytics makes you smarter, use it! #AnalyticsForAction
A great example of how data can be used for good. We use #OUAnalyse alongside #AnalyticsForAction (#A4A) in the #LearningDesign team to support module teams in digging into data to see where things are going well and where interventions could be useful. Big congrats to the team!
BIG CONGRATULATIONS to @mhlosta and the whole OUAnalyse team analyse.kmi.open.ac.uk So proud to be part of this amazing initiative! Different teams @OpenUniversity coming together & innovating on the use of data to better support our students! @kmiou @herodotouc @TimJBlackman
