Sometimes we come across plans for the #ArchiveFuture which never quite happened. Like these riverfront plans from 1975. You can see Tayside House in the background, so this is probably where the V&A is now. I think the building in the middle is the Olympia. #Archive30

A #PopularItem from our collections is this painting of the proposed City Hall from c.1910. We have a copy of it on our wall. Not only is it colourful, it always gets people talking. It wasn't built due to Mr Caird's gift of £100,000 to build the simpler Caird Hall. #Archive30

Here is #SomethingSmall for today's #Archive30 theme. This is a 2d token under by the Corporation Transport department. I assume this was used on the buses? Or maybe trams? It is plastic but we aren't sure how old it is. Have you ever come across something like this?

Day 29 #Archive30 @ARAScot. We are about to transcribe 2 journals of Adam Sedgwick with a small team of remote volunteers 👏. Notebooks from 1823 were digitised by @CambsArchives & one of our #ArchiveGoals is to get all 68 notebooks digitised & catalogued to improve access.

Dundee City Archives is housed in the Caird Hall building (we are on the floor beneath the main hall). In fact in this photograph from 8th January 1916 you can actually see some of our rooms being built - complete with solid concrete walls. #ArchiveBuildings #Archive30
