I know that's not really answering the question, but the ways in which wildlife can help us, depend on the situation & what is trying to be achieved. But I would say it's often going to be advantageous to observe wildlife to solve things. #ArtTechChat

Evolutionary biology is like an ultimate and unforgiving marketplace of ideas. Many technical problems have parallels in nature so studying wildlife and observing how it does things is a good source of inspiration for technical systems. #ArtTechChat

I often think that wildlife seeks the best, strongest & most reliable ways to do things. They also live in harmony with the planet as long as humans don't get involved in their habits. We have a lot to learn from other creatures. #ArtTechChat

Nowhere in particular, but everywhere. It's all around us wherever we go. I have to admit though, I also have lots of books which I also use as a reference & for ideas. #ArtTechChat

Yes often. I have large series of drawings of ants, caterpillars, maggots & murmurations & much else. & my sculptures, paintings & installations are based on these drawings. One of the greatest inspirations for me. #ArtTechChat

This a piece I have been working on recently - made with the discarded part of a computer - given to me by my son - & recycled wire & cable. #ArtTechChat

Some pieces of past work - made with 1) wire & paper; 2) black annealed wire; 3) wire & fabric; 4) wire & wire mesh. All made in the 80's & 90's. #ArtTechChat

An image from one room of a 3 room installation I did in 1991 at Adam Gallery, London (no longer open). I don't think I'd do anything differently - I was very pleased with this show - it was quite a departure for me - that is always challenging, but I love challenge #ArtTechChat

In non Tech projects I am working on another blanket. I don't do much tech projects outside of work anymore. #ArtTechChat

Often. I think it's definitely fashionable. I see them out & about in Bristol & from bus & train trips. I try to photo them all, but sometimes they flash by too quickly. I also take shots of murals on buses & trains themselves - livery is interesting these days. #ArtTechChat

I like those decorated capital letters that you see in medieval and Victorian texts. Illuminated letters? Similar skillset as calligraphy. #ArtTechChat
