This is deeply disappointing. A good Greens campaign got a swing of 11%, but 8 of that 11 came from Labor. Plus Labor preference flow was weaker than last time - most likely due to not having people hand out how to votes. Very low turnout too - still under 70%. #qldpol #bccvotes
Indicative preference count for Paddington ward done this morning. LNP's Peter Matic on 50.9% to GRN Donna Burns on 49.1%. With only postals to come, LNP should hold Paddington #BrisbaneVotes Results at abc.net.au/news/elections… running blog at antonygreen.com.au/running-post-o…
Results are looking very good so far for the Greens in #BCCVotes ... Perhaps too good. I suspect that it's mostly Election Day votes that have been counted so far, skewing left. Currumbin and Bundamba in line with expectations, so maybe they'll end up worse. #auspol
As an overseas voter I've already managed to vote in #bccvotes. The timing around the election and the pandemic is awful and many who would benefit from a postal vote due to the virus have missed the deadline.

However: I personally believe, there needs to be a public transport option, from Toowong station to Mt Coot-tha, that serves Mt Coot-tha's biggest employers: television, not just tourists. Something both @schrinner and @PatrickCondren need to look into this #BCCVotes with gusto.

Ever think that the real reason why CRR has confusion issues, is because a overpowerful urban council is calling a bendy bus project a "metro"? Any wonder BCC'd be better off focusing on just roads, rates and libraries, with public transport handed to the state. #BCCVotes
Meanwhile, PDonline for BCC is still playing up for the common consumer. Why isn't this a #BCCVotes issue?
