Thirty-five years ago, on the morning of Sept. 22, 1989, shell-shocked Charlotteans emerged from their homes to begin the long process of cleaning up the damage left in the wake of Hurricane Hugo, the worst tropical cyclone to hit this region in recorded history. #CLTHistory
