@chef is there a special install instruction page for #chefserver? I am using the instructions from docs.chef.io/install_server… but step 4, 'chef-server-ctl reconfigure' gives errors. pastebin.com/q6HMmaBJ

@chef The link for #ChefServer (chef.io/downloads/chef…) from Akamai yields a 404 error. The 404 page lists [email protected] as the contact email. That email sends message that "[email protected]" from Office 365.

#golang returning []string vs map[string]string. One problem with working in a new language is that the really simple and fairly obvious took 5 hours to figure out. Working on updating a #chefserver api.

There are patterns with #gitops to use other orchestration, like #terraform, so you get Infrastructure and serverless config w that. @chef w/ #chefserver has own source of truth for nodes it manages, so becomes anti-gitops and anti-cloudnative. 2/2

In #chefserver 12, knife "configure -i" suggests the wrong chef_server_url. Should be: https://mychefserver:443/organizations/myorg #devops
