Seeing this being reported on news outlets so would like to correct. There are 3 levels of classification: Confidential, Secret, and TS. There is nothing “above” TS. There are compartmentalized programs within each classification level that require special access to obtain.
Something we’re not explaining well to the general public: Classification levels aren’t just labels. Information is classified according to the danger exposure could cause to national security (serious, grave, exceptionally grave, etc). Protecting info is a duty, not a choice.
