With mother’s day coming up, a group of Festa students made a TON of cards to give to the community last week! After designing and preparing the cards these students set up a stand on Friday to hand them out, collecting donations for #CommunityBasedLearning programs as they went!

Some Fest astudents had a BLAST getting some #CommunityBasedLearning today at the Norwalk Aquarium! You can see the wonder in the students’ eyes as they learned about our planet’s huge underwater world and the animals that inhabit it! #ClarkstownCSD #STEM

Friday was hat day at Festa, and many students & staff could be seen sporting these positive and stylish 21 Pineapples hats! They were sold by students to raise money for our #communitybasedlearning programs, but selling the hats was a real #HandsOnLearning experience itself!

This Thursday we are partnering with Mid-Morning Kiwanis to host this year's Spaghetti Dinner from 5-7 pm @ Oshkosh North High School. Proceeds go directly to Communities to fund our unique classroom learning. Get your tickets the day of the event! #communitybasedlearning

Students also participated in sessions with members each week (e.g., swimming, cooking, acts of kindness club, St. Vincent de Paul, trips to the animal shelter, and more). This class was everything I could have imagined and more. Thank you HOPe! #inclusion #communitybasedlearning
