Quick intuition: Complexity = how much performance varies across observers on the same sample. Intelligence = how consistently low performance is across samples for an observer. If observers agree → the sample feels simple. If they diverge → it feels complex. (Still refining.)

Functions like sine and cosine have some pretty nice properties: they're always differentiable and well-behaved (i.e. don't ever blow up to infinity). Apparently. Yet it turns out that such functions are actually impossible, at least over the complex numbers. (1/9)

It is but an interesting life indeed. Umas are getting pregnant. I am undergoing this idea of asexuality. One thing is certain, this Tachyon Fluid Type-07 is making me feel different. Yes, I can operate more efficiently, but… I do not know. It is strange how I am feeling.

For today something very basic: the complex conjugate of a complex number has an equal real part and imaginary part equal in magnitude but opposite in sign. They often appear when finding roots of polynomials. #MathType

Arguably (according to my Math Guru The Math Sorcerer) the best math Schaum's Outline on Complex Variables by Prof. Spiegel. This particular outline helped me a lot when I studied Complex Variables 20 years ago. I used it together with our required textbook by Churchill.

One of my favorite "hard = easy" equations involving the winding number. Here, the blue contour is a fractal for which the integral is hard to compute directly. Thanks to homotopy invariance and Cauchy's Theorem, it is equal to the easy integral over a circle. #math #calculus
