I was and am brokenhearted by the judge's ruling against #ControlledDigitalLending... I had completed one big #CDL bibliography project at the @InternetArchive — Reader's Guide to African Folktales, bibliography.lauragibbs.net — and had planned many more. now that's all in limbo. 3/5
I always feel good when I see message like this; someone else is reading a book I want to read at @InternetArchive; I just need to wait & check back later. #ControlledDigitalLending WORKS...! and I am so angry that the publishers are trying to kill #DCL and all it makes possible!

the publishers' complaint against @InternetArchive makes no sense: #ControlledDigitalLending works just like a library! someone else is using this book, so I have to wait. I'll wait! I LOVE THE INTERNET ARCHIVE. archive.org/details/bellab… (as that link shows, I'm looking for ravens)
here's one example of a project made possible by #ControlledDigitalLending at the @InternetArchive: Reader's Guide to African Folktales at the Internet Archive lkgbooks.blogspot.com/2022/03/reader… ... and I'm working on the follow-up volume, Guide to African Diaspora Folktales, right now :-)
