It's been 7 years of screaming into this abyss, but 🤷 This is ugly code. This function should *not* know there is a `batch` dimension. The inner part should not know there is a `head` dimension. We are in the assembly era of math coding.

love this compact multi-head attention code from @hwchung27

My C "build system" is a 100 line batch script, which does a from-scratch debug build for a 150K LOC project in 3 seconds: github.com/EpicGamesExt/r… In the majority of cases, the fancier the build system, the bigger the waste of time.

for all of those that want to learn C try zig reasons 1. its build system is much better 2. it has testing built in 3. it will teach you everything that c will teach you other than a couple of base concepts that are not hard to learn without all the suck it really is awesome

I just posted a roadmap on how I learnt C (+ x86-64 Assembly and OS Internals) from scratch. I highly recommend it to anyone planning to take a course at @OpenSecTraining or who is interested in malware development. github.com/theokwebb/C-fr…

Did you know that you don't need Dynamic Scripting Toy Languages (like Python, JavaScript, etc) to Dynamically Reload your code? You can achieve literally the same with Proper Statically Typed Compiled Pure C. Alright, let me show you how in 5 hours on my Twitch channel.

With tiny C programs, it would be nice to be able to add #! /usr/bin/cc at the top with some option that made it not error on the unknown pragma, and auto-run the resulting output file in a temp directory.

Bye bye manual batching. Paper: arxiv.org/pdf/1705.07860 "blog": github.com/clab/dynet/blo… [with @gneubig , @redpony ]
