Today Xan our #DDMEProject research software engineer is presenting at the MethodsCon: Futures 2024 conference in Manchester. His paper will be part of the 2pm 'Future Data Services 1' session exploring the use of Large Language Models in social science research.
This afternoon Xan our #DDMEProject research software engineer was invited to participate in ‘The Methods Showcase’ hosted by the National Centre for Research Methods. This event looked at the newest developments funded by ESRC, including awards within our FDS Programme.
We're at the #IASSIST2025 Conference today. This morning we're giving a presentation on our #DDMEProject Natural Language prototype interface in session A.2. This afternoon during the poster reception we're presenting a poster & demonstration about it. #DataDiscovery
Many thanks to Callum who has completed his stint with us as a Research Assistant on the DDME Project. We'll say more about what he's been working on soon, but for now we wish him well in his future endeavours as he moves on to pastures new. #ProjectTeam #Changes #DDMEProject

Busy start to the year on the #DDMEProject with two social scientist interviews happening this week and more pencilled in for next week. Their research covers a range of research subjects, sometimes very different from ours, but all equally fascinating #Research #learning
