I’ve been a part of the corporate hiring process for one of the largest manufacturers in the U.S. Every candidate is chosen on a competitive basis. Also DEI generates an inclusive corporate work culture that regards not just the new hires but the tenured employees as well.
That defeats the purpose of profit. If you hire for diversity when it comes to valuable positions, the company can’t grow. DEI pushes for diversity.
Sorry but DEI doesn't hire the best of the best (hiring solely based on skill/experience and nothing else) as that is the only way to ensure people get the best service/product.
