Here is my capture of NGC 300, taken from Japan’s main island (Honshu). This galaxy sits extremely low in the southern sky here, so recording it feels like catching a rare visitor from the deep south. #Astrophotography #NGC300 #deepskystacker

I also tested the open-source software #deepskystacker! By stacking multiple photos, you can reduce noise and dead pixels in the image, and the result is more than satisfactory! You can even make out the Andromeda galaxy in the shot! (if I'm not mistaken)

M31, the Andromeda Galaxy, taken with a Canon EOS D9, 200 mm lens, 31 exposures with 45 s each, ISO 800, F4.5. The first is the original stacked image thanks to #DeepSkyStacker, and the second is after #Photoshop. Not bad for a first try, if I say so myself.
