Right on the money. Taking enough rest days and keeping it low volume circumvents any need for deloads.


What is a deload? It's usually a week, and you reduce your training volume by dropping your total reps, or the load you're using. I like to cut total reps to 50% and keep the same load on the bar.


An deload week should be earned. Don't deload if you are just starting out (1-2 years). Do a deload if you have been working out for 3 years and need some time off. Otherwise, you are just finding ways to slack off.

Deload week: morning 3-mile ruck, kb swings to deadlifts, deficit pushups to calf-raises, close-grip pushups to Lu-raises, barbell rows, v-ups, hanging leg-raises, macebell 360s.


Deloading the week before Thanksgiving is top tier timing


CNS might be a little torched. Try a de-load week. It’s a mental mindfuck lifting lighter weight, but your body will thank you for it.


You need a deload week or two. Cant pull heavy indefinitely. The body and cns needs to repair


Final Conditioning of Deload Week 70-75% efforts 8 cal bike 8 kettle bell swings 8 hand release pushups Rest 1:00 X 8 rounds
