totally agree but the @DGCAIndia needs to support rather than not as it does now: Their #DirectorTraining considers even Young TRI/TRE as novices and they have to go through his hoops to get approval to train in FTOs. A re look at their rules can result in crease in quality
In India specifically, Ex-Airline TRI/TRE/LTC, close to 65 and beyond, should be roped in to train pilots in FTOs based on Airline requirements. FAA/Transport Canada allows the same. Flying ac <5700 (<19 seaters) should be allowed based on medical fitness. @MoCA_GoI @DGCAIndia
