Need to change the look? Modifying the Style changes everything assigned to that Style. Need to search your doc? Enter a term in the search bar and click Headings, Pages, or Results to see every place that term pops up! #DocDesign 12/13

Repeat these steps for all your chapters and sections. Your Nav Pane will populate everything with a Heading Style. Click on the title in the Nav Pane to jump around your doc! #DocDesign 11/13

Next put your cursor in the subtitle line, and click Heading 2 in the Styles pane. Now your subtitle is listed under the Chap in the Nav pane, and it’s formatted in the doc! I went ahead and modified the style using the same steps as Heading 1. #DocDesign 10/13

This little modify window allows you to change EVERYTHING about Heading 1. Font, size, placement, etc. You can pretty much do whatever you want to it here. I chose TNR, size 18, bold. When you’re done, click ok. Next we’ll fix that subtitle! #DocDesign 9/13

To change the look, click Heading 1 in the Styles pane. Then click the little down arrow. In the drop menu, click Modify. #DocDesign 8/13

Two things just happened. Your Nav Pane populated with Chapter 1. And the look of Chapter 1 changed in your doc. I know you prob don’t want blue sans serif for all your chapters. We’ll change that next… #DocDesign 7/13

Now you can start creating your clickable titles. Put your cursor in the line you want to change. No need to highlight anything. Just let the cursor sit there. In this case, I want to change Chapter 1. Then click Heading 1 in the Styles pane. #DocDesign 6/13
