But do you think that there is such a thing as a ‘good’ piece of writing in an objective sense? If not, how can we examine our subject? #engchatuk

I think that it is subjective by nature. We see this in school curriculum plans, particularly at KS3. What one school values as core knowledge, another school may deem less important.

#engchatuk Lots of modelling. I think fading support helps but we must be prepared that this takes months in reality. Our recent year 10 mid-unit assessment looked at improving students' conclusions. WCF helped students to make improvements and edits.
