On Sunday, as part of a long standing tradition, #MDFR retired the old #Engine3 welcoming the new Engine 3, honoring the memory of the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice on 9/11.
It was truly an honor to be part of this ceremonial tradition. Inscribed on #Engine3 are the names of all 343 firefighters who perished serving their community. We will continue to honor them for their courage and sacrifice.
