What’s spookier than Halloween? A future without reliable water. At the #FSCWI we take on those challenges with research and education. Of course, we still found time to celebrate together as a team.
The #FSCWI hosted the @WaterBlueprint for the San Joaquin Valley Directors’ Meeting. Bringing directors together in one place helps keep decision-making connected and momentum steady. @fcfb_ag
We have officially celebrated 25 years at the #FSCWI with our anniversary celebration. Thank you to our team, partners, and sponsors for supporting our mission and helping us turn ideas into action as we look ahead to the next 25 years.
Fortifying drought resilience at the regional level, the #FSCWI received a grant to address drought and flooding issues. We will be working on this 30-month project with the goal of developing a comprehensive regional water management plan that will benefit the Valley.
Not only is it important to engage with your community but we here at the #fscwi believe it is important to engage with your fellow team members. As we gear up for another semester of successful #water resource management, our team engaged in a day of puzzles, bonding and fun!
Members of #fscwi 2024 faculty fellowship program met at the Jordan Agricultural Research center to merge expertise from each department. Combined research will identify potential projects that can help with #cawater challenges
Thrilled to announce our second Faculty Fellowship team's success! This year, they wrote a white paper on groundwater quality's health impacts in Tulare County and plan to create a documentary. Their findings will help #FSCWI in identify future funding opportunities. Stay tuned!

#FSCWI Co-assistant director and Political Science Professor Thomas Holyoke recently published “The Fragmentation of Western Water Policy" highlighting deficiencies in water policies in the American West. Students keep on diverse water disciplines may be interested.
Today, the #FSCWI is proud to host the @WaterBlueprint Board of Directors meeting at the @WETcenter. Together, we're leading efforts to shape the future of water in the San Joaquin Valley through integrating subregional initiatives into a Unified Water Plan.
Interim Director @LauraRamosV represented #fscwi by joining #SJVWCAP in their 3rd in-person meeting at UC Merced. The goal is to create a shared vision for water management in the San Joaquin valley. We can achieve this by coordinating engagement with local agencies!

The San Joaquin Valley’s water infrastructure is vast and constantly evolving. With support from a $1 million Bureau of Reclamation grant, the #FSCWI and @WaterBlueprint are working to catalog these various water projects across the valley. Read more: bit.ly/48hE6jq
