Q6) I would have loved a summer bridge program where we took a class, worked on campus PT, and had advisors to prep us to give us a head start! Also maybe a #FirstGen sign to wear so if my questions seemed silly, people knew why. 🤣 #FirstToGeaux

A4: My biggest surprise was that I did not find my home in the first University I chose.That thought had never crossed my mind.I then had to navigate transferring as a first gen.That experience made me really appreciate when I did find my place. #FirstToGeaux
A6: A resource manual tailored to minority students and their needs i.e. local barbershops and beauty salons, minority tutoring (sss), internships for directly seek out minorities. #FirstToGeaux

#FirstToGeaux When I first started I was confused but very determined. I was unaware that I was consider a first generation college student nor did I know that I was a non-traditional student. I soon found out, when I won the non-traditional student scholarship.
