This is what Hamblin thought of the Calvinist of yesteryear. I must admit that I marvel at how he has got away with so much for so long? From the "I won't quote a Calvinist but Spurgeon said..." through #fluffstuff sermons to shamelessly begging for Starbuck gift cards.
When talking for 5 minutes (at least) is described as "Bible preaching" with the customary hand to ear "for a witness" (A witness to what?) then this puts "the turn the preaching up, and then breaking off the knob" into context. Nobody should have to put up with this #fluffstuff

#GemsFromCHS Baptist preacher CH Spurgeon put great store by John Calvin's preaching. It certainly isn't the #fluffstuff so evident in today's #NeoFundamentalism It is #realmeat indeed and yields much to the reader. I am currently reading Calvin's sermons on Gen 11-20.

I suppose it would be interesting to know what Hamblin has preached on these specific dates over the past few years. One Mothers' Day (at least on Twitter) he regaled us all with the fact that MOM turned upside down is WOW. This must be #FluffStuff Hellfire preaching. #oldpaths
I found John R. Rice's booklets helpful as a young Christian, but I soon discovered CH Spurgeon and JC Ryle and they were in a different league altogether. As explained below, Rice himself is in a different league than many of the modern #FluffStuff preachers. #oldpaths #Hamblin

If they want #realmeat then either their pastors are already #Calvinist or their pastors' studies lean heavily on Calvinist commentaries etc. The hungry soul will soon get fed up with the #FluffStuff that emanates from some IFB quarters. #oldpaths #Calvinism
