TIL: doing #HashtagsLikeThis is more readable for Braille users than doing #hashtagslikethis. From now on, I’ll be more careful about that.

Random reminder: Always cap your #HashTagsLikeThis because otherwise, they come out as a mess for screenreaders. 👍❤️

“capitalising” sounds less capitalist than “capitalisation” sorry 🤦🏾‍♂️ Anyway, i.e. screen readers can read #HashtagsLikeThis as separate words, but have more trouble with #oneslikethis

Interesting... #HashtagsLikeThis

Accessability tip- when using hash tags, always start each new word with a capital letter. This is because screen readers know to announce each word separately. If you don’t use caps for the first letter of each word, it runs in to each other and becomes inaccessible. Thanks all

Also things like #HashtagsLikeThis #notlikethis to help screen readers.

Clump together words into #hashtagslikethis and ask them to define “word”

I only recently realised you should use capitals in hashtags with more than one word for RNIB screen readers eg #GoWithThePro #ContentDesign. They can't read #hashtagslikethis.

When you think someone's very cool but then they write #hashtagslikethis

because nobody thinks it's racist when white ppl get shot at so nobody makes #hashtagslikethis

Why #hashtag_like_this when you can read #hashtagslikethis. It just doesn't look good #like_this.
