Just 10 days after finishing my first Philippe Besson, #InTheAbsenceOfMen (‘En l’absence des hommes’), on the flight home from Copenhagen I’ve just finished another, #LieWithMe (‘Arrête avec tes mensonges’). It’s beautiful, plaintive, melancholy & thought-provoking.
I’ve never read Philippe Besson before but I’ve just finished #InTheAbsenceOfMen (‘En l’absence des hommes’), his first novel, which I loved. The sultry cover photo (pic 1) makes the subject matter clear, & page 99 (pic 2) elaborates further. It’s sad, lyrical & enchanting. ❤️
