It doesn't have to be slow. Jai is not even done yet, but it already cranks 150k+ lines of code per second. There is no reason for, let's say, Python type checker to be slow.

I would really recommend biting the bullet and make your plugins with our Plugin system in Java. If want to write a native library in C# and compile it down using NativeAOT and use that within a JNI interface. You would then have to figure out platform dependencies though.
