Finally some progress: github.com/linux-surface/… On my Surface Pro 7 since kernel 5.17 my external monitors attached to a Microsoft Dock 2 had issues, not turning on during boot, or Ethernet not working when attached later. workaround: usbcore.quirks=045e:09a0:k #JustLinuxThings
