Today we open Laravel MCP (beta) to the public! Laravel MCP is a library that makes it simple to build Model Context Protocol servers in your Laravel apps. This gives AI clients (like Claude, Cursor, & ChatGPT) a structured way to interact with your application. It's already…
How about instead, use PHP what it was designed for? web backends. It's still way better at that, vs a bunch of other langs/frameworks that attempt to poorly reproduce aspects of it's design. Also, Laravel is a dumpster fire perf wise.. need faster performance? don't use it.
This is crazy - I built a screen recorder in Laravel 🤯 There's so much more possibility here, so much more I want to be able to do. It's going to be so simple to record, edit, and manage an entire video course 🔥 Let's freakin' go!
If frontend is harder than backend why is the frontend space more crowded. You guys must be joking

Also I'd simplify new Laravel apps even more. This is too much when starting, for example: x.com/schutzsmith/st… Remember ExpressJS starts with a single file (which sucks btw, but still an interesting thing to keep in mind) Questions a new dev might ask themselves: - why is…
Learning @laravelphp and got tripped up on the folder structure but now I’m getting it. Im more used to the old days with CakePHP and very simple MVC. Also using @claudeai as my study guide and it came up with this great analogy!

This is the @laravelphp ecosystem: Auth starter kits, payment, browser testing, websockets, deployment, provisioning, monitoring, docker images, search … all work together seamlessly. Meanwhile, the JS community is busy inventing new ways of rendering React components. 🤡
Where is the lie 😂😂😂😂 Omo it feels so wired learning backend meanwhile everyone wants to be a frontend developer 😂😂😂
JS haters will also hate the facts. JS frameworks are the pinnacle of the accessible web In an audit of 1M websites by the company I trust most to survey accessibility: 1st image: Next.js is at the top spot, far above laravel 2nd image: Looking at Stimulus as a proxy for rails…
Progress? Hardly. JS frameworks remain an antithesis to a performant, accessible, indexable web. We must decry this absurdity.

fully agreed. nothing to add except a clarification for others that I work in js and similar daily, but php and laravel are still strong especially in non-vc land. both have their places and one can even combine laravel (be) with react/svelte/alpine as decent fe - best of both…
The todo application. 😅 But, seriously, here's the thing... When Laravel and Rails developers say "full stack", they mean something totally different than when Next or Remix (React Router?) developers say "full stack". In Laravel and Rails, it means there are built-in,…
