🌿 Super Science Lesson in Year 2! 🔬 We've been exploring the amazing world of plant adaptations today. The children loved discovering how different plants protect themselves, sorting them into clever categories! From spikes to poisons, nature is incredible! 🌱 #mppascience
Incredible science in Diamond Class! 🔬 We explored animal and plant adaptations by getting hands-on. From camouflaging our own moths outside to identifying unique plant features, we discovered how living things thrive! 🌱🦋 #WeAreLEO #MPPAScience
Today, Year 4 explored different ways to muffle sound and learned how materials can change what we hear. 🔍👂 Exciting experiment coming up next — stay tuned! #weareLEO #MPPAscience
Year 2 were super scientists today, learning about how living things survive! 💡 We investigated plant adaptations, classifying different protection methods like thorns and stings. We also got hands-on with animal camouflage by hiding paper moths outdoors. #mppascience
Year 3 have explored how joints work by doing an experiment using straws and string. We realised that in order to bend, we needed to cut the straw in half. This works just like joints do! We learnt about the importance of hinge, pivot and ball and socket joints! #MPPAScience
Year 5 started their Science topic ‘Earth and Space’ with a human Solar System model. They explored the location and size of different planets and learnt the mnemonic for remembering the order of planets. #mppascience #WeareLEO
Year 5 turned into scientists today and investigated air resistance. They worked hard to ensure they only had 1 variable and had to measure their parachutes before testing. We found that the lighter the material the more it was affected by air resistance. #mppascience
Year 6 had a fascinating science lesson today. They got hands-on investigating the functions of the heart by dissecting lambs' hearts🫀 The pupils were so engaged and asked some brilliant questions. #MPPAScience
Year 5 became scientists and explored friction in their very own experiment. They made predictions, decided on variables and carried out their tests before writing them up like a scientist! #WeAreLEO #mppascience
Year 6 scientists rocked their lesson on the circulatory system! 🤩 They learned to find their pulse and investigated the direct impact of exercise on their heart rate. The faster the activity, the higher the bpm! Great job collecting and analysing data! #MPPAScience
🥚🦷 Year 4 had an egg-citing science experiment! We used eggs to see how different drinks can affect our teeth 🪥😬 The results are brewing and will be revealed on Monday — we can’t wait to see what happens! 😁✨ #weareLEO #MPPAscience
In Science today, Year 1 have been investigating why we have two eyes. We conducted some exciting experiments to judge whether it was easier to do the tasks with both eyes open or just one! 👁️🕵️ #MPPAscience #WeAreLEO
A brilliant science experiment in Year 2 today! One child's hands were covered in glitter 'germs,' and after colouring together, we saw how far they spread. A fantastic, hands-on lesson about hygiene! #mppascience #WeAreLeo
Year 4 Turquoise class explored the journey of food through the digestive system today! 🧫 Our hands-on science experiment helped us see how the body breaks down food step by step — a fun (and slightly gross!) way to learn biology in action! @FizzPopSciSW #weareLEO #MPPAscience
Today Year 1 have had a great time exploring their senses! We closed our eyes and listened to different sounds, and we smelled different scents and tried to guess what they were. Such exciting practical science learning!🧑🔬#WeAreLEO #MPPAscience
Year 5 jumped into the immersive Now Press Play experience today and recapped their knowledge on Forces. They loved being immersed in the story and checking their knowledge with a time to climb after. #WeareLEO #mppascience
Awesome natural selection activity for Year 6! They used tweezers to pick up yellow and green circles, simulating how birds find food. The big discovery? The green circles were super camouflaged and much trickier to collect! Hands-on learning at its best! #weareLEO #MPPAScience

The results are in! 🥚 Our egg experiment showed that sugary drinks like soda can damage enamel — and even vinegar can cause erosion! 🪥🦷 #weareLEO #MPPAscience

Year 1 learnt about sensory loss this week! We took part in a series of challenges with our eyes closed to see how difficult it was. We discovered that some challenges like ordering weights were still possible but sorting items by colour wasn’t! 🧑🔬#WeAreLEO #MPPAscience
