The one upside to elections is they provide a unique opportunity to practice/hone our math skills. And given how many Americans have been poorly educated (intentionally) over time by our crap public education system, it's an unparalleled opportunity to learn. So there's that.

#MathGate has some things associated with it that/which remind remind me of how words (and lemmas and morphemes?) can change or grow -- sometimes detrimentally. E.g., it's really hard to explain to youth today that their use of calling an internet platform "literally alive" ...
