The Lord seeks to transform our lives. Yes, he wants to heal & restore us, move us out of our meaninglessness and purposelessness. But he also wants us to work with him. A significant avenue of God's healing is mission. Miles went from having no meaning or purpose to living a…

Lexi shared, “I want to teach these kids in a way that makes them want to keep coming back to learn more and to provide them with a safe place. I also struggled with reading and comprehending when I was their age, and I want to help them achieve the most from these sessions.”
You’re telling the church that teaching students about Jesus Christ is archaic? You obviously don’t understand what is happening. Mission schools are evangelical tools used by the church to influence generations

Perspectives helps believers discover God’s global purpose and their unique role in making His Name known. His mission is a joyful privilege of eternal significance. “For from Him and through Him and for Him are all things.” Romans 11:36 To find a class: perspectives.org/find-a-class/
Granted. “Preparing for a mission” should be a lifelong pursuit. It is excellent temple prep if done right. Including and infusing the temple through mission prep is critical. A well-prepared missionary is a well-preparing temple worshiper
Sending your kids to public school certainly is sending them to a mission field. The only problem is that their peers and unbelieving teachers are the missionaries—and your kids will often end up converts. "Everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher." -Lk. 6:40

Yes, the public schools need missionaries. Adult missionaries. Christians who teach, coach, sub, volunteer, counsel, and drive the bus. But your kids? No. They ARE the mission field, not the missionaries.
The mission manages the school while the govt pays the workers. It’s a partnership. The essence is that the mission will closely monitor the school and ensure they are up to standards while the govt only gets to deal with salaries and subventions. Good thinking, good product.
Shouldn’t every school’s mission statement basically be the same? It’s not like some school has a mission statement that says they hope to not prepare their students for the future.
To develop missionary disciples, you need to help your entire church see their primary vocation as being missionaries. #NoSilverBullets
