They added JPA component scanning annotation to main #spring class They wrote a #mockmvc test but it failed, they didn’t connect the dots between the JPA scanning and their test! They spent a few hours googling but didnt come up with a conclusion on what was happening ..

I normally choose the Spring's #MockMvc for SpringBoot applications. I think in majority of the cases I found enough for testing the HTTP layer

For what I've read #mockmvc is not the same as those I mentioned. Mockmvc mocks the call to existing controllers in your app, not external http calls... But I could be wrong
