Redesigned the #E3D #MotionSystem X Bar for Hiwin MGNR9 actual bolt spacing of 20mm, with a longer 530mm rail. Overall length is 579mm, my OCD wants me to make it 580. :)

An idea I had last night, extending the @E3DOnline #MotionSystem top plate by 100mm, allowing for a 300x300mm bed. Plate is 605mm in the Y axis and 540mm in the X (unchanged), with a 70mm bar across the front like in the back. Imported the DXF and 15 minutes in F360...

Quick render of the @E3DOnline #MotionSystem frame, with carbon fiber panels instead of acrylic. The lighting isn't the best, but you get the idea. Now, how about putting 4 x 3.5 kg spools on the outside?


My order of Loctite 425 arrived, thread locker compound designed for plastics. Normal threadlocker will crack lexan, and I believe that this one won't since it's superglue-based instead of acetone-based. I put some on some scrap lexan to test. #E3D #ToolChanger #motionsystem

So, this is interesting... The 3060 extrusion used in the #E3D #MotionSystem has a little lip on the slot measuring 10.2mm wide, and maybe 1mm deep. I have a bunch of these 10mm OD (9.8mm) standoffs, I bet I could use them as a through hole insert in DiBond panels.
